The ENUTRAIN wake-up training can be prescribed as a bedwetting therapy device by a physician. The intelligent sensor can distinguish sweat from urine.
Intelligent wake-up training with ENUTRAIN ®
With the new generation of ENUTRAIN ® wake-up trainers, we have succeeded in making this device-based behavioral therapy easier, more comfortable and successful for children and parents. We equipped our sensor with a self-learning program. It continuously measures the humidity status of its surroundings, evaluates the changes, and in this way learns to distinguish precisely between sweating and bladder discharge.
Wake-up training from a therapeutic point of view
Wake-up therapy is recommended in guidelines as a first choice remedy. However, prejudices are still prevalent. This device-based behavioral therapy is often associated with a high level of stress for families and many therapy books. In the literature, two factors are mainly blamed: False alarms from sweating and failure to trigger during wetting.
FALSE ALARMS AND FAILURES TO TRIGGER
No family will endure getting woken up several times a night, just because the child sweats. At the latest when a device then fails on top of it with the child practically swimming in urine, the therapy is aborted with frustration.
Many technical reasons cause this susceptibility to errors. If a bedwetting alarm device cannot determine whether the child is sweating or urinating, it will sound an alarm every time a higher electrical conductivity develops due to moisture. Especially obese children and adolescents often cannot be successfully treated due to increased perspiration.
INTELLIGENT SENSOR TECHNOLOGY DIFFERENTIATES BETWEEN SWEAT AND URINE
The inconspicuous high-performance sensor is placed in a sewn-in pocket of the supplied underpants. There, it continuously measures the humidity status of its surroundings and records the development. Based on recurring patterns, the device detects whether it is an increase in sweat or whether the bladder actually starts emptying. This means that ENUTRAIN® stays quiet even with sweat-drenched pajamas, but will immediately alert you at the first drops of urine.
BETTER COMPLIANCE IN WAKE-UP TRAINING WITH A RELIABLE ALARM
In almost all studies on wake-up therapy, compliance is the key to success. The new ENUTRAIN® generation has decisively improved the prerequisites for the elementary cooperation of the child and its family. This is why ENUTRAIN® wake-up training can finally also help problem cases where wake-up training has so far failed due to technical reasons.
HIGHER ACCEPTANCE BY CHILDREN BECAUSE OF A SMART, UNOBTRUSIVE DEVICE
The less noticeable the wake-up training device is, the more normal the child will feel. The ENUTRAIN® sensor which is sewn into the ENUTRAIN® underpants is hardly noticeable from the outside. Children generally get quickly used to the small and light radio sensor and do not consider it as something foreign.

Wake-up training with ENUTRAIN ® for children explained
Nico will explain how easy it is to get dry with the ENUTRAIN® wake-up trainer to the parents of children with primary enuresis in our comic on the therapy procedure:
GETTING STARTED IN LIFE WITHOUT BEDWETTING
Mommy shows me the battery powered ENUTRAIN® with radio transmission .
It will assist me in learning how to wake up in a dry bed.
We are immediately trying it out to see how the device works.
PREPARATION
First we will learn how to turn the receiver on and off. Press the black button for 1 to 2 seconds. The receiver will flash in green twice and beep twice. If it flashes rapidly in green, the receiver is ready to receive! To switch off, press the button for 1 second until it lights up red. The receiver will beep once and then switch off.
Please do not place a TV, computer or telephone directly next to the receiver! This can interfere with radio reception!
Verification
Check the radio transmission between transmitter and receiver. To do this, moisten a finger and sweep over the sensor side. The receiver will start to beep and the sensor flashes. Turn the receiver off and dry the sensor. Now check the radio connection between the receiver at Mommy’s bed and the sensor in the child’s room.
To change the alarm setting, press and hold down the button until it turns red and green alternately. If you then press the button one more time, the receiver alerts only with vibrating. If you press it twice, it beeps and vibrates. If you press it three times, it beeps only (as before).
Next place the sensor in the pocket of the underpants.
Watch out: There is another fold in the fabric. Place it over the sensor, so that it cannot slip out.
Time to go to bed
Now simply put on the underpants. The sensor is in the front pocket. That feels quite normal and does not disturb at all! And I have no abrasive cables on my body. Mommy tucks me in as usual and checks to see if everything is all right.
Mommy helps
So that Mommy can help me wake up at night in the first few weeks, she puts the receiver next to her bed and turns it on. Mommy and I can sleep calmly. My ENUTRAIN® makes sure I wake up in time.
At Night
The alarm beeps.
Mommy has to quickly get up now and wake me up.
It works!
In the bathroom, Mommy makes sure that the sensor does not fall into the toilet. If I’m lucky, I can still empty my full bladder into the toilet. But it’s not bad if it does not always work at the beginning.
When we are done, we wash off the sensor under running water and dry it carefully with a cloth.
As soon as the sensor is dry enough, it stops blinking. Put the sensor back into a dry pair of underpants. Sometimes you have to go to the toilet several times a night. But that is better than having to change sheets after bedwetting.
After six weeks
My mommy notices that after a few weeks I wake up by myself, when the alarm beeps and comes to my bed. Now, the receiver can be placed in my room.
First successes
This is awesome! I don’t need help anymore, I can do it all alone!
Now I just have to practice with my wake-up trainer for a few more weeks. Time will pass very quickly.
Done!
My alarm device to get dry is great!
Just awesome.
Finally waking up in the morning in a dry bed.
Now I am not a bedwetter anymore!
